Cities of refuge

These are some reflection questions I prepared about our city as a city of refuge:

Many people come to our city looking for a place of refuge. What might people be seeking refuge from? What kind city do they find?
What does it mean for our city to be a Sanctuary?
Is there anything I can do to make our city a safer, more welcoming, more hospitable place for those seeking refuge here?

(Prayer for Melbourne is a space for people to come and pray for our city together, every second Wednesday, from 6 till 7:30pm, at Collins Street Baptist Church. It will be on again on October 15.)
