Moonah trees

Took these on Churchill Island yesterday morning. Will possibly edit them and repost them when I get back to Melbourne, because I think I'm going to get my own computer.

Hi Chris,
I think you'll find it's spelled 'Melaleuca' which is Latin for 'black and white'. Apparently the first specimen of this genus to be described had a white trunk which had been partly burnt. So a whole group of plants were given this strange and inappropriate name. Isn't that fascinating!
